Multiple Sd Card Reader

The Lexar Hub has been something I was considering for years to transfer several SD cards from my iMac to it. Because it seemed too much, I did not pull the trigger. You will need to have backup cards and a power supply for the Lexar hub. I think I finally found the solution!
I decided to go ahead and build my own USB 3.0 SD card hub from things you can easily purchase from Amazon. Essentially, it’s a USB 3.0 hub that I filed with inexpensive and reliable SD card readers that I’ve been using for years. The ANKER USB Hub was my choice for a number of reasons. But, primarily because it matched the look and feel of my MacBook Pro and iMac. Although there are cheaper hubs, I believe ANKER is a quality brand and the price tag of $15 makes it a great deal.
Next, you needed to buy enough SD card readers. Transcend offers a simple solution for just $8. I’ve been using these readers for years because they’re so compact and inexpensive that I just throw them in each of my camera bags so I always have a reader in a pinch no matter where I am or what I’m doing. They can take both full-sized SD cards as well as Micro SD cards.
Although it’s slower than USB 3.0, this is the most efficient solution. I usually transfer most of the footage after I return from weddings. I then take a break and go to the shower. Most of the stuff I took throughout the day will be backed up by that time. It’s a great help to my post processing.
When I shoot video for a wedding, I usually come home with 3 cameras worth of cards, plus at least 4-5 audio cards that usually take a while to transfer. While this only supports 4 files at a stretch, it can be used to transfer up to 10 SD cards. If you’re really interested, you could purchase an extra USB hub with more readers. Because it’s more similar to the Lexar Hub 4 bay system, I used this one.
I hope this was able to help those of you looking for an affordable custom memory card hub solution.

Anker 2-in-1 USB3.0 SD card reader. We have five great choices, each with their own unique qualities.
This buying guide was based on three factors: functionality (how compatible an SD card reader can read multiple formats), portability (how easy it is to transport), and transfer speeds (how quickly files can be moved from one device to the next). These aspects will pretty much make or break how good an SD card reader is, and while securing a device that has top tier performance in all categories is the ideal, it’s quite unlikely, so making the right compromises are key. These awards are intended to assist you in making your decision.
Multi-Format Reader: Future Flexibility
You have two options if the card reader on your laptop is not working properly. You can get single-slot readers that support the same card format as you are currently using, but multi-format readers will allow you offload cards from both your current card and those in the future.
Transcend’s USB 3.0 multi-format memory card reader can read multiple memory card formats including SDXC and CF.
This card reader connects to your computer’s USB3.0 ports for fast data transfers. These card readers are limited to one card format and cost $13 per piece. However, multiple readers can be purchased for simultaneous offloading of multiple SD cards.
Dedicated readers can be small and lightweight, but they provide access to many card formats.
The dedicated card reader is only $13 which allows you to upload footage fast without going broke.
Versatile multi-format card readers support a variety of card types, saving you from having to buy a new reader when you need to offload a different type of card.
It is independent of any computer and allows you to access it from any computer.
Modular Reader: Clean & Configurable
One problem with these card readers is the fact that they can only be used to read one card. While you have the option to buy several card readers at once, it is not possible to use each of them with a USB port.
The best solution for you if you are looking to transfer multiple cards is to use a modular card reader such Lexar’s H1 hub. With a single USB3.0 port, you can simultaneously load up to four memory cards.
There are modules for a variety of card formats available for the HR1, allowing you to mix and match modules according to the media being used on each project.
The HR1 can also be used to set up 4 SD card module modules if the cameras are multiple Panasonic GH4 and Sony a7S II. Add a CFast modules to any Blackmagic URSA Minis.
The HR1 can be equipped with SSD drives modules, which allow you to store card readers as well as data storage.

Is there an SD card reader capable of reading multiple cards at once? I’m looking for a device that can read multiple SD cards into my computer. As I frequently come back with multiple SD cards, I’d like them to all be done quickly. The faster the better. Thanks for your support!
This question still hasn’t been answered.
You won’t lose much time waiting for cards to be changed, as the cards share the same bandwidth.
USB 3 products are available if you have a computer that supports it.
