Taylormade P790 Irons Review & For Sale
Verdict Taylormade Irons Verdict P790 2019, 2019
The TM P790 Irons were fun to test. Comparing them with the 2017 model I was pleasantly surprised that they were slightly longer. Perhaps my thinner face gave me just 7% more range.
Due to the 2mph ball speed increase I was able to increase my distance from 150 yards with 2017 and 156 yards with 2019. Dispersion was not affected by the length. It’s important to remember that it isn’t just about increasing yards. The sound at impact is slightly quieter but not enough to really notice unless you are indoors.
These irons are worth a try if the 2017 model is not available yet. But if the 2017 models are already in your collection, you need to consider whether the 24% price difference (difference in cost) makes them better or more expensive.
Both 2017, and 2019, models are both excellent and well-made irons.

4-PW Our Take: As our GOLF testers saw, looks can sometimes be deceiving. One tester called them “an ultra-forgiving iron trapped inside of a blade.” Essentially, that’s exactly what the P790 irons are all about: providing game-improvement-style performance in a shape that’s welcomed by even low-handicappers.

Golfers, man, is it tough! Tee times can be scarce. If it isn’t custom made, finding new gear can prove difficult. You can pick any manufacturer to find heads. Sure, they probably don’t have shafts and they definitely don’t have much in the way of grips but two out of three ain’t bad, right?
It’s right!
Industrywide, outright inavailability, backorders, delay and even delays are all part of the daily grind. In the best of scenarios golfers get fitted, order, cross their fingers and wait … and then wait some more.
What would I do with it?
They are definitely worth considering for my game. My problem is with striking rather than with direction. These made me feel a lot more confident.
Irons are a huge thing to me. I also like them at the address. And these irons look hot and ready for action. Whether you make the switch is up to you, but if distance is what you’re after, and you’re not fazed by the price, look no further…
Taylormade’s P790 is a game improvement iron or a player iron?
The TaylorMade Official Website states that “one main difference” is that players irons were designed to improve workability and feeling, while game improvement irons can be used for long distances and forgiveness. You have the option of irons which are the game improvement iron and the player’s Iron. It is difficult to find irons which can be used for both player’s or game improvement. This gap has been filled by the TaylorMade P790 Irons. They fall under both these categories. They are designed and engineered to offer complete packages. This is why all golfers love the p790 Irons.

What Is It About?
Taylor. Made keep the same name. That’s a big deal. They have confidence in their P790 iron, which shows how high-respected it is. There’s no need to try and repair something that’s not broken.
Taylor. Taylor’s full name was removed by Made, who altered the look of the club. Made, and replaced it with the logo of the company. Now the sole has a shiny finish and the topline is slightly thinner. This gives the irons a premium, more luxurious look. These irons are very appealing on the shelf, even though they don’t need it.
The Speed technology improvement and a thinner face are the only technological improvements. Foam injection in the head. The foam injection is supposed to increase the ball’s speed and provide a better feel for both off-centre as well as solid strikes.
Taylor likes Taylor’s longer irons. Made refers to its Speed Pocket as the’most flexible. It is designed to maximize ballspeeds, and allow for forgiveness when shots are taken lower than the head. It will stop the stinger that can sometimes be so hard to catch when it is a little too thin.
Taylor. To increase the launch angle of the ball and get it airborne faster, Made also placed a 15% larger tungsten weight in the head.
They Are For Whom?
These are not recommended to high handicappers and beginners as they do not improve game play. As a player who is established and on the up, what are some of the things you should be looking for in a set of irons?
First and foremost, let’s look at Taylor. Made up right here with the very best.
The next thing we want is to be sure that this product has been tested and proven safe by touring professionals such as Rory Mc. Ilroy and Jason Day sporting these clubs in their bags, that one’s covered. Cutting edge technology is the hallmark of Taylor. Taylor products are made to order and have been leaders in this area for many years.
Taylor. Made unveiled the P790 and introduced the P790 late in 2018. Their decision to not make any major changes to an already successful product has been praised. There were only minor tweaks made and the results are a long-lasting iron that gives you confidence.
Although the P790 Ti’s name and appearance have not changed, there is a newer version. Taylor. Made believes that you don’t have to mess with the things that work, but make them better.
A ball with a greater trajectory and spin rate tends to travel further.
