">Shopify Review (2021). The Top Pros and Cons
Francais Francais adheres to a strict honesty policy. Affiliate advertising is used on this blog to pay for our work.
Shopify is a popular and highly-rated online store builder. I review it and offer a comprehensive overview. What is it worth for your business?
You have many choices when it comes to online shop building tools. It may be hard to pick the right tool for you. Shopify may be the most well-respected e-commerce platform, but are you sure it is the right fit?
In this review, I'm going to help you find out. You'll be able to see the pricing details, selling templates, and other features of Shopify in detail by the end.
Let's tackle a critical question.
Shopify: What's it all about?
Shopify Pricing
Shopify has five pricing plans, and each plan comes with the monthly cost:
Shopify Lite $29/month Shopify Basic Shopify $79/month Shopify Advanced Shopify 299/month Shopify Plus
There are a couple of things it's worth mentioning quickly here:
If you pay upfront you can avail of a discount 10% if you pay for one year, or 20% if you pay for two.
Shopify offers point-of-sale capabilities that allow you to sell items in person. However, additional fees are required. I will be discussing these later in my Shopify review. A free 14-day trial is available. It can often be extended for more time, if needed.
Shopify provides a complimentary trial.
Vat Moss
It is important to note that the platform caters well for EU's VAT MOSS rules. "
VAT MOSS refers to the requirement that all digital products being sold in Europe to EU citizens add value-added tax (VAT), to each product per country. For example, the UK has one rate and Ireland one.
Shopify computes the applicable rate automatically, contrary to many competing products. You don't have to worry about setting up manual taxes and such. It's an extremely valuable piece of functionality, and it's my USP.
And speaking of digital products…
Managing Your Shopify Store On A Mobile Device
Shopify provides two main apps which you can use to manage your store on a mobile device: 'Shopify' and 'Shopify Point of Sale. These are available on both i. OS and Android.
Shopify's main app earns 4.6 points and 4.2 points respectively on Google Play and Apple Play. Google Play user reviews are not so kind to the POS (Shopify POS) app. However, it is rated 2.6 out 5, by Android users. i. OS users rate it 4.4 out 5.
Shopify app allows you to see, fulfill and add/edit orders.
As the name implies, Shopify's Point of Sale app lets you access Shopify'sPOS system. You can use it for card payments, inventory tracking, receipt texting, and more.
